Did you know that, on average, students in Oregon borrow more than $38,000 to get a bachelor’s degree? Or did you know that the average monthly payment for student loans ranges from $200 to $299?
And, finally, did you know that it takes borrowers somewhere around 20 years to pay the student loans off?
Unfortunately, that’s the cost of secondary education in the United States. But there are ways to avoid large amounts of student debt. You just have to get creative and proactive about a college education.
That is why we have options like the Early College Program at REACH.
This program allows 10th, 11th, and 12th graders to dual enroll in both college and high school credits. As a public charter school, we fund up to 12 college credits per term, making this program free to our students.
But what does this actually mean in the life of your student?
We have counselors who can help your student plan their education path to graduate with both an associates degree and a high school diploma.
If they do so and choose to pursue a bachelors degree, they could start their program with a serious advantage and save thousands on their degree.
They could avoid the statistics.
But beyond saving money, they’ll also have the opportunity to explore education opportunities and career and technical programs.
We don’t always have seats available in this program, but we do have availability heading into our Spring term this year. And we want to make sure as many students as possible are able to take advantage of this opportunity.
Does that sound like something that could benefit your family? If so, learn more on our website and set up an informational meeting.
